(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

Taran's suggestion above sounds great. I'd love to play as well. However, I don't want anyone to feel like I'm leaving anyone out of this game. It's possible that we could do both - I have an idea on how to run 10 PCs, if need be, but I have to ask a few questions first:

Happy that so many want to play and commit to the speedy turnaround.

1) How familiar are you all with Forge of Fury?

I don't know it at all.

2) Am I right that @Kobold Stew was the only one of you that played my Vault of the Dracolich game? I just can't remember.

Unless I am mistaken, I don't think I was in a Dracolich game. If so, my foggy brain does not remember.

Haw! You're right! It's everyone else that you played with at the beginning of my Scourge of Daggerford and my Fitz's Folly game that had played Dracolich, but not you. Well, if none of the rest of you are one of those folks under a new name, that makes it a shoe-in. If I don't get carried away adding things to it, it shouldn't take too long with two groups. It will be easy for me in that I can literally cut-and-paste from my previous game and then modify it for new players.

Unless there are any objections? Or any concerns?

I'm not surprised that you (collectively) don't know Vault of the Dracolich, but I AM somewhat surprised that no one is very familiar with Forge of Fury - unless someone is who hasn't spoken up yet.

At any rate, I'm leaning toward Vault Redux. Vault of the Dracolich was Level Four (single session) but let's still start by making Level 3 characters, and I'll level you up liberally (probably to Level 5 by the end). We'll pick parties after everyone has made characters. In fact, we'll start the game with one really big party, and split them up into groups as part of the story. It could go as many as three (small) groups, I think, if it makes sense to do so.

I'd like to start soonish, so let's get those characters made!

A few notes: Use one of these ability arrays (or ask me for another):

If you want to use anything that isn't in 2024 yet (like Warforged), feel free to use the old version. If a 2024 version shows up while we're playing, you can chose to rebuild it if you like. If you don't have 2024 stuff, it's not a huge big deal if you use the 2014 version, but we'll default to 2024 if a conflict arises (I probably won't notice any conflicts). I generally feel that as long as everyone is playing in good faith, it doesn't matter if we do everything perfectly by the book.

I’ve never played any of the adventures mentioned so far.

Heads up: doing a paladin/warlock (called it post #4), will be celestial. My character is a gish, was going to build him as an aasimar or human.

I’ll start building him. And should be ready by the end of the weekend.

Have an idea for a character.

Going to make him as a Paladin (Oath of Genie). From the Forgotten Realms unearthed arcana in January. If it doesn't feel right, I'll try it as a monk.

Either way, lightly-armored melee martial.
